The Glistening World

On a tiny, rocky island in the Bering Sea, there is a secret research station from the 1970s. It’s built overlooking a phenomenon called the Anomaly: an inky-black pit that leads… somewhere else.

                  The place beyond could be another planet. It could be another dimension. All we know is that it’s a living thing – a conscious entity driven by desires we barely understand. It seems to understand us just fine, though. The world beyond is tempting, tantalizing, and treacherous. It’s drawn in researchers with promises of knowledge or pleasure unlike anything on Earth, and against their better judgement, they’ve succumbed to its alien allure.

                  Every two years or so, a new team of scientists arrives at the base. The last team is nowhere to be found. All their stuff is still here. More than five decades of unfinished journals, unbelievable reports, and unsolved mysteries. And yet, the station’s mission is unchanged:

• Monitor the Anomaly.
• Study the strange beings on the other side.
• Map the Glistening World.

The Glistening World is a solo erotic horror journaling RPG about the thrill and shame of sexual self-discovery. You play a scientist exploring an oily biomechanical world that wants to fuck, eat, and/or subsume you into itself. Along the way, you and your fellow scientists succumb to the strange, mutating powers and irresistible call of the Glistening Planet.
